Luxury Hotel Review: Onsea House
Onsea House was the perfect “Welcome-to-Tanzania-here’s-a-lovely-place-to-crash” hotel. Coming from NYC, the journey to Tanzania for our honeymoon felt like a week-long airplane ride. When we finally landed we were exhausted, hungry, and in desperate need for a clean place to sleep. When I initially planned the trip, I thought we'd hit the ground running and be ready for safari adventures. Oh boy! That was not the case -- instead, we landed and were ready to hit the snooze button.
When we pulled into Onsea House, I could’ve given the hotel a hug. I was so happy to see clean white sheets! The hosts greeted us warmly, and gave a quick tour of the grounds, which included a dining area and pool overlooking the Arusha mountains. We recharged with a power nap, and then devoured a dinner of sea bass and soup; I felt fed and ready to start my safari adventures.
Would I Return?
The next morning we left early and departed to the Serengeti, but our stay at Onsea House was a wonderful "mini" vacation on its own. The staff was helpful and courteous, and the warm welcome was the perfect start to the honeymoon.
