Nearest airport:  The closest major airports include Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and the regional airport Theodore Francis Green Airport (PVD) in Providence, Rhode Island.

Getting around:  It's best to have your own car.  However, when you do set out, be sure to check traffic conditions.  There is one main highway to enter the Cape (RT 6), and it gets quite crowded in the summer months. 

How many days needed: 5-7 days

Local history:  During the 1600's there were over 3,000 documented shipwrecks off the shores of Cape Cod, which led to the region's nickname: The Graveyard of the Atlantic.

Fun fact: In 1891 the first trans-Atlantic cable was laid between Orleans, Cape Cod and Brest, France.  This helped cement geopolitical ties between the two countries.
