Nearest airport: Halifax Stanfield International Airport is 3 hours away. There are two closer airports for private planes: The first is Sydney J.A. Douglas McCurdy (2 hour drive), and the other is Allan J. MacEachen Regional Airport (1 hour drive).  Both airports offer helicopter transfers. 

Getting around:  A car is a necessity in order to explore the hikes and different towns.   

Local history: The Mi’kmag people were the first known inhabitants before the English arrived, and before the French later colonized the first settlement in 1605.

Fun fact: No location in Nova Scotia is farther than 60km from the sea.
