When to visit: March-May and September-December are the high seasons for Sedona and Scottsdale.  

Getting around: Rent a car for easier access to hiking. If you prefer to rent a car in Sedona, then use the shuttle from the Phoenix airport to Sedona. The info can be found here.

How many days are needed: A week is best to explore each city.  We spent 3 days in Phoenix and 5 in Sedona.

Language: English

Nearest airport: Phoenix International Airport (1.5-2 hours away).

Local history: Sedona is known for its vortexes, which attracts many spiritual thinkers.  Some people believe the vortexes have healing properties.

Fun fact: Sunshine 278 days a year in Sedona and 299 in Scottsdale!
