Local history: Kauai has become a popular spot to film movies. Sixty movies have been filmed here, including Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean
Fun fact: Don't be surprised if you see an abundance of chickens running around the island. Hurricane Iniki destroyed many farmers' chicken coops in 1992, thus liberating the chickens to run free. The chicken has become the official bird of Kauai.
