IS JW MARCO ISLAND WORTH THE HYPE? When it comes IS JW MARCO ISLAND WORTH THE HYPE? When it comes to luxury hotels in Florida, @jwmarcoisland is always at the top of the list. So earlier this year, we hopped down for a weekend babymoon escape — and brought the kids along. Here’s where it shined — and where it fell short for me: ✅ BEACH: 5/5 — One of the most spacious, kid-friendly beaches we’ve experienced at a Florida family hotel. Calm water, plenty of room, and super easy with little ones. Beach service was great, and I liked that you can reserve chairs in advance. It costs $, but worth it to skip the early morning dash. ✅ POOLS: 4.5/5 — I save 5/5 for pools that truly wow, but this luxury hotel in Florida had great options: a big family pool and a smaller one with a waterslide, cove layout, and hot tub. You can reserve chairs here too. ✅ ON-SITE FUN: 5/5 — So much for kids and families. There’s no formal kids’ club, but daily activities are offered. The highlight? The arcade. I’m not usually an arcade person, but this one was CLEAN, beautifully designed, and went above and beyond. ✅ OFF-SITE FUN: 5/5 — We did the dolphin cruise + shelling tour. It was easy (pickup right at the hotel), not too long, and packed with dolphin sightings. They also drop you off on a small, uninhabited beach to look for shells (this area is known for really unique ones). Now for the misses... 🤔 ROOMS: 3/5 — We booked a lanai suite and it felt dark, oddly laid out, and not worth the upgrade. Next time I’d go for two connecting rooms in the tower — much better views. 🤔 FOOD: 2/5 — The steakhouse was great (even for a vegetarian!), but the other restaurants didn’t wow me. Food is a big highlight for me, so this was a bummer. So… should you go?
If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Florida that’s easy to get to, reasonably priced, and packed with family-friendly perks — then yes. I get why people love it. I’d just book a different room and adventure off site some nights for meals. Have you been to JW Marco Island? Curious what others think ⬇️

Incredible valley views! (15 min hike). 
STOP 3: LUBERON VALLEY / SURROUNDING AREAS 
⭐️We ended the vacation with 7 nights at a private villa for a multigenerational stay.
⭐️This villa had it all: room to spread out, 22 m pool, beautiful grounds for kids to explore, private chefs, and a dreamy Provençal setting.
We explored nearby towns like ⭐️Gordes - Have dinner at @airiellesgordes ⭐️I’isle Sur La Sorgue - knwon for antiquing ⭐️Saignon - Have dinner at Le Jardin Sur La Toit ⭐️Roussillon- The town is a breathtaking orange color. Do the Les Sentier des Ocres hike- quick and easy with kids. ⭐️Lourmarin - best market and charming village ⭐️Les Baux de Provence - castle ruins + cave light show = kid favorite
